Irregular Choice x My Little Pony Line-Up and Review

Finding My Little Pony themed apparel for kids is pretty easy, and in the heyday of G4 adult clothes and accessories were available practically everywhere. Nowadays most adult lines feature retro designs with G1 ponies, and our review for today features a first generation line-up too, but with a big twist.

Because what if the simple shirts and necklaces are too subtle for you? What if you want to go all-out and really let your inner pony sparkle?

During the Spielwarenmesse in Germany this year, Mighty Jaxx has teased these adorable upcoming Kwistal My Little Pony figurines. Whereas previous sets were released with the Blind Box format in mind, these are actually all sold seperately. Another difference for these figures is that they are also taller! The Blind Box Kwistal Fwenz series figure each are about 3 Inches/8 cm tall. The Princesses have a height of 6 Inches/15.5cm

Kayou My Little Pony Products
Those who've followed us for some years now, might remember that time where we bought some MLP Trading Cards from China. For us this was the first time we heard of the brand Kayou and if you read our review, they made some pretty cool cards!

Well, turns out they even make more than just cards as appareantly they had a presentation last Friday where they display some new upcoming products. And not just cards, but beautiful figures and acrylic standees as well! Included are figures that also serve as a card stand, a very nice dynamic Princess Celestia and we can even expect some figures of characters we don't see getting much merch: Discord and Mistmane.

Aside of the figures we can also see several Acrylic products such as acrylic cards, and some very cute sweet inspired standeed. We hope these will be available soon! For now you can visit their official website which has links to some of their official stores, or you can get them on Aliexpress once they hit. Do let us know if they do!

Thanks to Tomo for the heads up!

My Little Pony Possibly G5 Equestria Girls Dolls
Out of all the Spin-off lines Hasbro had released during the run time of the fourth generation, Equestria Girls was by far the most popular with the release of over 300 dolls durings its run plus the tons of media that got released as well such as movies, specials and other webisodes. After the fourth generation had ended many people wondered what the fate would be for the Equestria Girls line...

Yesterday images have surfaced of possibly a new generation of Equestria girls, this time with the main characters of the current generation minus Hitch. From the images shown we can see that the dolls are more diverse than the previous generation with at least different heights and possibly body types for the dolls. Their faces are also more diverse reflecting their personality more. From what I'm seeing so far I quite like them!

Another image showing Pipp also shows what the packaging might look like. It also comes with tiara which you can wear yourself. Notice though that all the text is blurred out so "Equestria Girls" might not even be his line's name though it seems a bit... unlikely in my opinion.

Aside from these two images we have no other information for now. However seeing as around this time Hasbro usually showcases their products for the upcoming year I won't be surprised if we get more information in a few weeks. What do you think of this new Generation of Equestria Girls? Are you excited or would you've like to seen the focus on something else?

Thanks to doll.girlicious for the images!

Rainbow Dash by Ricardo Cavolo Now Available for Pre-Order

The unique Rainbow Dash statue designed by Ricardo Cavolo that we posted about last week is now available for pre-order on the Mighty Jaxx website and app!

With Ricardo's signature sets of eyes and flames this Rainbow Dash statue is a unique piece and at 9" tall it's also quite an impressive statue as well. And while the photos that we currently have show the prototype version (the actual figures will be produced after the pre-orders end) we know from Mighty Jaxx that their final product is very close to the prototype design.

With an expected release date of May 2023, you can now place your pre-order at $199, which includes free worldwide shipping. And if you'd like to have $10 off that price, be sure to use our referral link to register and enjoy that discount.

And if you want to know more about our experience with larger Mighty Jaxx releases, check our review of the XXRay Plus Nightmare Moon statue.

Fiercely loyal, a little brash, and one of the best fliers in Equestria—Rainbow Dash has burst onto the scene. Sculpted through the eyes of Spanish artist Ricardo Cavolo, Rainbow Dash is reimagined with two pairs of eyes—Ricardo’s signature element.
These eyes represent her strong sense of perspective. One one hand, this references her remarkable talent for flying, able to quickly react to different aerial situations. On the emotional front, it points towards her self-consciousness in front of others—she wants to be perceived as a strong, capable character.
This collectible features her successfully pulling off a Sonic Rainboom. This difficult feat was achieved during the Best Young Fliers competition, when she was saving her friends from plummeting to the ground during an accident—a character defining moment. Paired with the intense colors, and free-flowing lines, this collectible is a meaningful visual treat.

My Little Pony Crystal Blocks Figure by MGL Toys

Today I've spotted a very interesting new set on Shopee/Taobao: These adorable Crystal Blocks figures by MGL Toys. They seem to be modeled after the Cutie Mark Cew line and included are the whole Mane Six together with spike. Every figure comes in it's own box with the picture on the front showing you which character you'll be getting. So no blind boxes! No dimensions for the figures itself are listed but the boxes are 11 cm/4.3 inches tall so I expect the figures to be around 3 inches.

The listing we managed to found has them listed for RM59.90 which is about $14 USD however this is with the current 49% sale. Their normal price is around $27 USD You can find the listing here!

After the release of the second wave of the Kwistal Fwenz series we didn't hear much from Mighty Jaxx in terms of My Little Pony releases... until now as their upcoming releases page has listed a very interesting upcoming Rainbow Dash figure...

This Rainbow Dash sculpture is made by Ricardo Cavolo who's work tends to use lots of bold colors and perhaps the most prominent feature being illustrating characters with multiple pairs of eyes which is also the case for this Rainbow Dash Statue and yeah... I think Dashie was the perfect choice of pony looking at his other works.

So far Mighty Jaxx hasn't provided any other info aside of a December the 17th date which will probably be the date pre-orders open. As usual we'll keep you updated. If you want to buy some of their previous releases such as the Hidden Dissectibles Line or the Kwistal Fwenz Series, you can use our referral link to get $10 off any order above a $100.
