Fans of larger "Fashion Style" ponies recently got treated with an Opaline brushable, and that trend is now continuing with yet another new character: Misty Brightdawn is getting her first release, as part of the new "Style of the Day" line.
The set was revealed by a Vietnamese toy retailer, showing an initial release of 3 ponies: (princess) Pipp Petals, Zipp Storm and Misty Brightdawn. They stand around 6" tall, equal to what we know as the fashion style size, with brushable hair, pre-applied face stickers and a cute expression. All ponies each come packaged with 16 accessories. Because Hasbro has moved to plastic-free packaging, the accessories are safely stored in the cardboard box, so we have to peak at the back of the box to learn what is included. All photos are below, as well as a video that the store uploaded showing the figures.
In Vietnam they are already available (site is geo-restricted) and have a sale price of around $15. When these will be available in other parts of the world is unknown, but we don't expect it to be more than a month.
Nice to see Misty merch, although the purple and pink mane seems lazy to me
ReplyDeleteAgree with you on both points
Deleteooo glad they are making more ponies than the mane 5! i thoght that the headline said minty instead of misty at first XD
ReplyDeleteA G5 Minty? Now, that's something I'd like to see (and no, the one in the G4.5 mold doesn't count)! I don't care if it doesn't make sense in canon. Minty should be reincarnated in every generation!
DeleteAgreed!
Deletenow im imagining minty being a background character for make your mark XD
DeleteYou know, I'm probably gonna pass on the Zipp and Pipp, but I think I'd love to have the Misty later!
ReplyDeleteArticulated six-inches? With painted hooves, no less? I like!
ReplyDeleteLegs are a bit odd, but they'll definitely grow on me. I also hope there is a second wave in the works, since I'd love to have an Izzy like this!
Look at Misty's Cutie Mark, though. Does it seem... "real" to you? Her hair is different, too! These could be the toyline taking liberties, or it could be a "reformed" Misty! I am a bit disappointed that she doesn't appear to have her pink markings, though the Pipp on the box doesn't have the white leg gradients the toy clearly does, so perhaps she has similar gradients? Either way, I'm definitely getting her. Those accessories are way too cute!
Well, I hope these come to my rural nowhere town in a reasonable amount of time... I haven't seen Opaline yet, so I've got some waiting in my future!
same here, im from a small town myself so we dont really get much pony stuff, we just got jazz here thou so it might be another year till we get opaline or misty :P
DeleteReally wish the legs were a little thicker, those look kinda too skinny for their bodies.
ReplyDeleteMisty is really cute ❤️
ReplyDeletePipp looks weird in that picture
ReplyDeleteProbably irrelevant but Mini brands has mini mlps now
ReplyDeleteWell I guess we have misty and opaline now
ReplyDeleteMisty has a butterfly cutie mark. I wonder if it's a design choice or a sneak peek of what she will eventually get
ReplyDeleteZipp has been up on Amazon for a bit while Misty and Pip are dated for June 01 at $20 apiece. The listings show on the app via search, though their pages won't display/load for me.
ReplyDeleteWell I only got 1 Style of the day pony And it's pipp pedals I got her on June 3 Which is about a month ago
