Hopefully everyone has enjoyed their viewing of the My Little Pony: A New Generation! In the mean time we have been busy with finishing 3 large database updates this week, and are happy to be able to share those with you all.
G3, G3.5 & Ponyville McDonald's Happy Meal Ponies
We had tons of requests for this, but were seriously lacking images. Thanks to kind donators we now have a baseline of what we feel is needed to have them listed. So, if you want to keep track of your Happy Meal toys from these generations you can now finally do so! Below are all the sets that we have listed. More images are always welcome, so feel free to contact us with anything that could help.

Lost Kitties Database
After recently purchasing a lot of Lost Kitties, and seeing that the old website is done, we decided that we should create a resource to archive this toy line. Introducing: the Lost Kitties Database! Because it isn't large enough for it's own website, we have decided that (for now) it will live under the MLP Merch database as 'Other Toyline', just like the Fairy Tail Birds. We believe that all Lost Kitties are listed, but if you know of any that are missing we'd love to hear about them!
Littlest Pet Shop Database Battles
And the final big addition today is the start of the Littlest Pet Shop database battles! After the success of the battles in our MLP and Minecraft databases (we hope to start another MLP season soon) we're now starting the first battles for LPS.
In the battles we present a random choice of 2 figures (in this case pets) and you can vote for your favorite of the two. After voting a new battles starts and you can pick another favorite, as much times as you want. For each generation (with the exception of Pets in the City and G5.5) we have a seperate battle each week. So you vote on a different generation each week, and after all battles we count all the votes and present the winners in a complete overview.

Don't forget the variants of '08 Cheerilee and Sweetie Belle- they were sometimes made with each other's body molds!

DeleteYou know, the more I look, the more I am convinced that this was a bad assumption on my part. I thought that Cheerilee used the same mold Starswirl had in '05 and that Sweetie's pose, while subtly different, was unique. I seem to remember a distinct difference in the tails. With this in mind, seeing images of the two in clearly the same pose would likely lead to such a conclusion.
DeleteAlas, scrolling through countless eBay listings for examples of each, I can only find them in what I believed was Sweetie's intended pose. Granted, the variation could be quite rare, but I'm in the boat that my brain made it up and they do, indeed, share a body mold. I'm sorry for providing incorrect information!

DeleteCould the database be updated to include check/wishlist options for pony accessories too. I colect OOB and need a way to keep track and usually use this site, but it only shows ponies and in box sets.
ReplyDeleteAt the moment we don't have plans to list all individual accessories or parts that come with sets (that would take too much time for us), but we have plans for adding the ability to create your own lists/checks (e.g. "Have comb/brush" or "Own complete set").
DeleteFor now you can also add such info in the notes, but we understand that isn't ideal.
I think the Lost Kitties should be over on the LPS database. Also a suggestion to include Little Big Bites.
ReplyDeleteIt would fit, but it feels wrong to have a LPS spin-off there before the Kenner generation is. In the future the other toylines will get a place of their own, and I like the suggestion of Little Big Bites!
