While both Princess Celestia and Luna were announced at the same time to join the Bishoujo line-up, the younger sister of the two, Princess Luna is now already available for pre-order. We did see several stages already of the Princess Celestia one including an unpainted prototype, but now, 1,5 month later Kotobukiya has now revealed the final look for Celestia.
I have to be honest, I think this one is my absolute favorite of the statues released so far. She has a long white and simple dress with some very pretty gradients at the bottom, mimicking her mane colors. Yes I really love her color scheme. If you would like to know more about the design progress you can read the Kotobukiya blogpost dedicated to Celestia, they go into some nice details about the design progress for this statue.
Princess Celestia will be released in Japan in November 2021. Pre-orders are open now. Have more images and the official description below.
UPDATE: Entertainment Earth has Celestia now listed for pre-order too.
Official Description:
- The dress that adorns her is of an original design by Shunya Yamashita and painted in soft pearl color with color gradation.
- Princess Celestia’s mystical flowing hair is made of clear plastic filled with glitter and painted a pearl coloring to bring out a soft and gentle texture like that of warm sunlight.
- The statue fully captures Princess Celestia’s gentle grace as she calmly watches over the Mane 6 ponies as they learn about the magic of friendship.
- The white shimmering pony version of Princess Celestia is set on a separate base and can be displayed independently!
- Careful attention was given to capture the beautiful details of her elegant silhouette from her mane to tail to result in the most voluminous pony statue up until now.
- The package design is one that beautifully contrasts to that of Princess Luna’s and also includes a hologram design.
- With so much care placed in each detail of this statue makes this a must-have piece for all MY LITTLE PONY fans!MY LITTLE PONY and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro and are used with permission. © 2021 Hasbro. All Rights Reserved. Licensed by Hasbro.

ReplyDeleteOdd how they didn't give any other humanoid form a unicorn horn other than Princess Luna. That kind of bugs me.
