The Cutie Mark Crew line that replaced the original blind bags saw many releases in 2018 and 2019, including 6 full lines of mystery packs, but since the global crisis news has been low on what would follow.
So far we only knew about official announcements up to series 6 and with the release of new potion blind bags, it was uncertain whether the line of CMC figures would continue. Until today, as a huge batch of new Cutie Mark Crew figures has been spotted online, which could be most of an upcoming 7th series.
Compared to the earlier figures, it's clear that the design of the eyes has been changed to better fit with the Pony Life design style, but the molds of the ponies seems to remain the same. So far this line-up only contains ponies, and features variants with glittery hair and fully translucent figures. Aside from the Mane 6 we see the 3 princesses, Muffins, Trixie and DJ Pon-3.
Personally, I hope these will be packaged in the old tubes/houses as it was a nice way to collect and stack the figures (and less messy than all that confetti!), but maybe Hasbro takes another direction with this brand new line. Once we know more, we'll write about it!
We expect these figure to be available around the end of the summer / early fall. Since we're seeing new (though somewhat late) figures in our local toy stores, we get the idea that global distribution is slowly increasing again.
Thanks to Lilys_Toys for the heads-up!

I wonder who the pony in the top row, 2nd from the right, is?
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteLooks like Potion Nova.
Delete@Anon wrong species and colors for that, Potion Nova is a pink haired unicorn after all.
DeleteThat's Sweetie Drops. She's been made in the fluttershy mold before.
DeleteThe colors do match, but a Pegasus?:0 When did she use this mold, I totally missed it?
DeleteSeries 2 she was featured in. I don't see any wings here though, she just shares the Fluttershy hair mold.
DeleteI love the show so this change is welcome in my books
ReplyDeleteI really can't wait for the 7th series of the cutie Mark crew figures.
ReplyDeleteWas series 5 or 6 ever actually released?
