Earlier this week we found the first image of the brand new G4.5 blind bags set online, and just before the new year Walmart already released them in stores! (And Amazon now, too)
There's only one odd thing here: the set that was found on the shelves is a 12-pack, whereas the US normally gets a full 24-pack, just like the images we found earlier. Not only that, but the packaging only features English and French text, not Spanish as US releases usually have.
These 12-pack releases with two languages is commonly released in the UK, so it is possible that this set that hit the stores is a mix-up.
The figures included are the first set we posted in our previous post containing Tank, Winona, (brown) Angel, Opalescence, Lyra, Amethyst Star, unknown green pony, Gummy, Potion Nova, Cha Cha, a hippopotamus and Rarity.
While the Cutie Mark Crew confetti is gone, these new blind bags do come with another (potentially even messier) way of opening them: water! You can flip open the potion bottles, pour in some water, and after shaking them for a while the dust should dissolve and the pony will be revealed. Just make sure you close the potion bottle tight before shaking! (See photo and video of this below)
Update: First wave of Magical Potion Surprise is now on Amazon for just $2.99 each. Listing mentions 24 figures in contrast to the split box found in stores.
Thanks to SLPhotos for the photos & videos!

Disclaimer: More info will be added later.
The first blind Bags for G4.5 have been found. And its very interesting as we see more characters, more styles and even more species! So far not else is known aside from lots of pictures! Hippo's, Cha Cha the Llama? Balloon ponies? So much interesting figures are included!
We also get a look at the art style for this generation. It looks really fresh and shiny compared to G4.

About 2-3 weeks after we spotted them on Amazon, the first of the G4.5 Pony Life! Reveal the Magic Brushables have now been found. At least all of the new Singles and the Magical Mane Rarity have been found in the Philippines by one of readers named David. He has found them at Toys'R'Us and Toy Kingdom.

After a teaser campaign on Instagram the news is now officially out: My Little Pony will return to Discovery Family in 2020 with a brand new animated series called Pony Life.
The new TV-series will feature new chibi-style animations, done by Hasbro's own Allspark Animation, and the mane 6 and their voice actors from Friendship is Magic will return for this series.
The show will center around Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie and mysterious potions in a Slice of Life setting. Aside from the main TV-show the My Little Pony YouTube channel will continue to release exclusive shorts.

More big news on Amazon today, as the single ponies for next year are all out in the open! The line of 6 ponies is part of the Reveal the Magic line, of which we already saw some other releases last week.
The 6 ponies that are part of this set aren't just the mane 6. While we do see Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle, there will be no Rarity and Rainbow Dash in this first set of these singles. They are accompanied by Trixie and a new character Potion Nova.
With the new character and product descriptions we're still not certain on what this line will be based on: a stand-alone toy line, G4.5, toys based on the upcoming movie, or possibly the first step towards G5?

Whereas Basic Fun skipped the second generation of My Little Pony in their retro line of ponies (so far), we got surprise news from McDonald's this week that they are filling in that gap! As part of their 40 years anniversary of the Happy Meal they are re-releasing 17 classic toys from Happy Meals throughout the ages. One of which is the G2 Light Heart pony that was originally released in 1998.
Regarding the colors and details this pony is exactly like its 21-year-old original, including the brushable tail. The only difference is the hollow legs which have been added on this re-release.
If you'd like to add this pony to your collection you should be quick: these toys are subject to availability and are only included in Happy Meals between today (Nov 7th) and next Monday (Nov 11th). McDonald's location in at least the US and The Netherlands will offer this line of toys, it's unsure which other countries include this promotion as well.
Update: The happy meal figures are packaged as blind bags, and according to multiple confirmations #12 is the Light Heart pony. (Thanks mylittleponyukcollector)
Thanks to Alex for the heads-up!

We normally don't post anything related to Magic The Gathering, but when Hasbro starts a collaboration with My Little Pony we're happy to jump in!
Hasbro just sent out a news statement that the Ponies: The Galloping Trading Card Set will be available tomorrow, as well as an exclusive set of Ultra PRO playmats. Both to celebrate the final episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and to raise money for charity.

A small 3 months after the previous announcement from Kotobukiya we can happily say that the Rarity Bishoujo statue design has received it's layer of colors and was finalized. Matching her pony-form color schema, the humanized Rarity figure features a white shirt with purple skirt and belt and long wavy locks. She also rocks a gold bracelet and large necklace, together with a hair clip representing her cutie mark. The pony that accompanies the human statue is a well-designed 3D presentation of Rarity, being it with very heavy eyelashes. More images of both can be seen later in the post.
Just like the statues before, this stage of the development process also means that pre-orders are now available. So far we were only able to find a pre-order listing on the Kotobukiya site itself, but expect sites that usually offer statues like this to follow soon.

Fans of the 3rd My Little Pony generation were probably very happy to hear that Basic Fun would extend their My Little Pony classic collection from G1 to G3. Now we have the confirmation that the figures were found in several Target stores and that they're available in their online store (links below). Right now the set is limited to 4 of the mane 6 ponies, being Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash, all in their original G3 design.
The ponies come in a box with the same shape as the G1 retro ponies, being it with a design that looks more like the actual G3 packaging. Each pony comes with a comb and is being sold at the MSRP of $9.99 (and not at $8.49, which was originally listed online).
Thanks to Beth and TwilySparks for the images!

We're back from our holiday and are back to share the latest MLP news with all of you! On our way back we were able to pick up Rainbow Dash from the My Little Pony Happy Meal 2019 line, and no, we didn't go through Switzerland. Here in The Netherlands McDonald's launched the same line of Happy Meal figures, which includes unique versions of Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle.
But there is more news, as the line is also available in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. However, in those countries the set does not only contain the ponies mentioned above, but features new figures of Starlight Glimmer and Spike as well! Pictures of both are shown below.
More countries could potentially receive this set in the future, as we've seen delays of months between countries in the past, but we don't have any definitive information on that.
If you can't wait for them to become available in your country: the first listings for these figures are now available on eBay.
Thanks to Sil for the heads-up!

Looks like Burger King isn't the only one including My Little Pony figures in their kids meals. Apparently McDonalds Switzerland is now also including ponies and Transformers in their Happy Meals, all of the Mane Six to be exact. They even have a timetable available on their website which shows which pony you can get in each week, but we also decided to post it below as well.

After a very long pause Burger King once again features My Little Pony and Transformer toys in their King Jr meals! Four brand new figures of both brands are available, but of course we'll focus on the My Little Pony figures here.
Featured are Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity, who all have a different mold or feature: Pinkie Pie laughs, Rainbow Dash can roll forward, Twilight Sparkle has articulated wings and tail and Rarity comes with a removable cape.
The figures all come with molded manes and tails, but are not molded completely solid. As seen on the photos the legs are hollow.
From reports that we saw all 4 figures are available at the moment within the US and Canada, but it differs from store to store which are included with the meals at that time. We've also heard of restaurants that did not offer any MLP figures yet, even after the official launch date. Information on releases in other countries are not yet known.
Thanks to Archooves, Victor, Jessie and Alex for the info!

The 3rd generation of My Little Pony started back in 2003, and when you think about it, that's already 16 years ago! Whether this falls in the 'retro' category is up to personal preference, but what is sure is that four G3 re-releases are planned for this fall! Under the 'Retro Classic' line Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash will be released in their original G3 form according to listings that popped up on the Target website.
All ponies each come with a comb are listed for $8.49 with an MSRP of $9.99. And while they are marked as 'sold out', we didn't get any confirmations that they were available just yet. That's why we expect them to be available somewhere in the coming weeks.
Below we have more photos of all the ponies, as well as the listings and some more background information on these figures.

Hasbro is on a roll with Cutie Mark Crew announcements and releases this month! After the listing for series 5 blind packs and two multi-packs we're already seeing official information and photos on the 6th series of blind packs on the My Little Pony website. This brand new series will feature similar gradient finishes as the 5th series and all ponies come with fashion-themed accessories like skirts, shoes, hats and pearl necklaces.
No details on the in-store release has been given so far, but seeing as this info is already up on Hasbro's own sites, we expect this set to be available not too far in the 3rd quarter of this year. Possible only weeks after the first findings of the 5th series.

While the series 4 Cutie Mark Crew have started to become available on most continents now, over on a Ukrainian website the first images of the 5th series has been spotted! As we saw on the NY Toy Fair the base idea will remain the same as the current line we saw with series 3 and 4, namely the confetti-filled balloons with a single pony and accessory inside. This time around the ponies have a gradient design, and come with makeup/beauty-themed items. Overall we get to see a lot more mane 6 variants, but some other characters make a return in this set and we get the first release of Sweetie Belle and Zecora (in a rainbowfied form?). The accessories for the ponies are all duplicated once in a different color.

We've got two great reports from Kotobukiya for you today: Both the prototype of the Rarity bishoujo statue and the final colored design of the Fluttershy statue (including pre-orders) too!
News on the figures came in through Twitter and their official blog, and is just in time for the start of the SDCC today.
This is the first time we get to see a prototype version of the Rarity bishoujo statue, currently still in its unpainted state. The human statue has a very posh pose and outfit, combined with curly locks similar to her pony-equivalent and a seductive face. Rarity as a pony lays on the floor and comes with a greatly detailed mane and even sculpted eyelashes.
Of Fluttershy, who is the 3rd statue in the series, we now get to see the final colored design of her showing the bright hair color and contrasting details on her dress. Pony Fluttershy got some beautiful shaded wings, combined with show-accurate colors and details. The Fluttershy statue is now available for pre-order too, and has an expected release date of December 2019.

After the My Little Pony 35th Anniversary celebration from last year, Hasbro goes back in time again and announces a brand new set of retro ponies based on the modern mane 6!
The main cast from Friendship is Magic is shaped after ponies from older generation, though with a little twist. Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash are molded after the classic G1 Firefly pose and Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Applejack are a mixture of G1 and G3 styles. Color-wise the ponies have not changed, but the cutie marks did: they increased in number and size, looking more like the G1 symbols than their current cutie marks.
All ponies come in a single box that is covered with retro-vibes, and even the logo from the first generation! We also received some crazy hi-res images of this set, of which we shared a little compilation below to show you the quality of detail of the figures and packaging.
The My Little Pony Retro Rainbow Mane 6 collection will be an Amazon exclusive and release on the first of September. Pre-orders are available for $24.99.
Together with this new set comes the premiere of My Little Pony: The Retro Show, a free weekly show where Hasbro looks back on the history of My Little Pony from the 80's and 90's.
And if you still have more thirst for retro My Little Pony, why not take a look at our own book My Little Pony Collectibles, where we take a look at the rich history of MLP throughout the generations!

Today is the start of the new Stranger Things season, and for this season Netflix has partnered up with Hasbro and Basic Fun to release this very special Stranger Things-themed Applejack. She is not looking like her regular self and comes with a white and blue color scheme, which includes her mane, tail and symbol/cutie mark. The latter of which is intentionally printed upside-down.
She comes in a monochrome box and is always packed wrong side up. On the back we see the usual style of the 35th Anniversary ponies, though it only showing Applejack. Within the box you not only get the pony, but a bow and hairbrush are included too. Everything in matching blue.
This special Applejack is currently only available in-store at Target, where you can pick her up for $9.99. Note that a handful of ponies are also available from 3rd part sellers on Amazon, though with a higher price tag.

The Pop Insider Reveals Basic Fun Majesty SDCC 2019 Exclusive
San Diego Comic Con is less than two weeks away and a lot of companies keep revealing their exclusives. Hasbro already revealed their exclusive about two weeks ago, and now, Basic Fun will also release their own exclusive: Majesty. Majesty was released in the second year of the first generation of My Little Pony and came with the Dream Castle Playset.
However as you might have noticed this version looks a whole lot different as both the pony itself and the box are completely covered with her symbol.

Over on the Chinese online marketplace Taobao, and associated sites, a new "blind bag" collection set has been spotted: the Rainbow Road Trip Collection. This set is, as the name already reveals, part of the Rainbow Road Trip series and features the complete mane 6, the 3 princesses and Gummy!
While the figures are presented in their usual body style, the variants these come in are, almost, all new. The mini figures have a colored translucent body with large glitter flakes and painted manes and tails. Princess Twilight Sparkle comes with a pretty unique rainbow-colored wing finish too.
In addition to the ponies, we also get the first translucent Gummy, which shares his body mold with that of an earlier FiM Collection release.
Seeing as the collection is published on the marketplace including the full packaging we can assume that it won't take long before we're seeing these in stores. Price-wise the listings all translate to about $35, which seems logical for these sets as they're usually offered around the $30 mark at release.

The G4 Twilight Sparkle combines an existing 3" body with new face and mane design (with bangs!), while the G1-based Twilight has a brand new pearlized design with the looks of the original pony from the 1980's.
Both come in a combined see-through package showing a design of Twilight on one side and Twilight Sparkle on the other side. Each side also shows the My Little Pony design from their respected era. The set will be available for $19.99 and debut at the San Diego Comic Con. Afterwards the figure will be available on the Hasbro Pulse website while stock lasts.

It's a been a bit quiet in regards to the store finds (here's why), but we're back with another collection of stuff that was found around the globe! We've got plenty of magazines, Equestria Girls, and stuff on paper too, with paper crafts and a Father's Day card.
If you happen to find brand new stuff in your local store, then feel free to write us a small message with photos.

Earlier this week we added the My Baby Twilight Sparkle to our database, but as we only had a single packaging photo we did want to wait a little longer for the full reveal was there. And that moment is now as Detmir released images of both the Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle figures in and out of their packaging.
If we jump back a few months in time, back to the NY Toy Fair, you might remember that we saw some big-headed figures during the sneak-peak video by Hasbro, but after the official opening of the stand they were nowhere to be found.

Why MLP Merch is a Bit Quiet + What's Coming Soon!
It's been a bit quiet here in the past few weeks, and we're fully aware of that. That's why we did want to share the reasons behind this and what our plans are for the coming months.
So, to first address the elephant in the room: we're still very much alive and working on MLP Merch!

C&A Shows New My Little Pony Line - Advertises With Unlicensed Plush
Across Europe clothing store C&A announced a new line of My Little Pony clothing for young adults through their latest newsletter. Within the collection, which might be placed under their Clockhouse sub-brand, there are various colors of short-sleeved shirts with a variation of Mane 6 ponies and designs. It is possible that more apparel will be included, but the newsletter did not show anything else besides these shirts.
The online stores of C&A across Europe (for example the German one) are pretty much in-sync when it comes to their offerings, and none of them currently have anything My Little Pony related on offer, outside of children's sizes. A bit more patience will be required before we can see all designs in detail, but we'll keep you posted!
One juicy detail is the fact that the promotional photos used in the email newsletter show various unlicensed plush from FrontWinner/Olyfactory. These were never officially sold in stores, so it's unclear where the marketing department/studio got these from (certainly not from Hasbro!).
Thanks to Ayu for the heads-up!

As you might have noticed we're not posting a weekly store finds report anymore. While this is partly due to our busy lives at the moment, but also the reduced amount of My Little Pony stuff that is currently being released. The announced end of the G4 series is definitely not helping, but we're hoping to report on new stuff soon.
For now most of the items found in stores are discounted old stock and a handful of new items. Nevertheless interesting news if you're looking to complete your collection!

Since 2017 Hallmark has been releasing G1 My Little Pony Keepsake ornaments. In 2017 it was Moondancer, 2018 brought us Firefly and 2019 brings us Seashell the Earth Pony. (They did release an ornament in 2014 as well of Cotton Candy)
She's about 2,4 inches tall which roughly translates to 6 centimeters. Right now she's available for pre-order on the Hallmark website. Seashell listed for $15.99 and will be released on July 13, 2019. Have more info below:

Back in 2016, during the Explore Equestria series, Panini announced their first line of collectible My Little Pony stickers. One year later a new set was inevitable with the release of My Little Pony: The Movie. And while we didn't see a new set in 2018 (in Europe most stores kept their stock of the movie set), Panini released the 3rd series of My Little Pony stickers last week. At least, this was the release date in Germany. According to the Panini Instagram this set was already available in the UK since September 2018, but we didn't hear any store finds of them at all!
Tied in with the School of Friendship line a lot of new faces are featured in this sticker album, among which of course the Young 6. In total you'll find 208 brand new stickers in this set, 48 of which are glitter variants. Completing your collection can be done through the usual two ways: 5-sticker booster packs or getting start kit which includes the sticker album and 26 stickers to kick-start your collection. The packs are 60p/€0.70 and the album, which also includes a poster, is available for £2.99/€2,50. While it sounds interesting to buy only albums, it could be a bit misleading as the album could contain a fixed set of sticker with each copy. Another option is available in France, which offers the album including a Twilight Sparkle mini figure (Egmont magazine figure).
More information and listings can be found on the English, German or French website of Panini, but expect to see these appear in European shops soon.
Thanks to Ayu for the heads up!

Yes, we're still alive! It's been a while since we posted, but we're still on the lookout for the latest news in the world of My Little Pony. Due to the announced end of G4 we're seeing various licensed companies stop their production of MLP stuff, but we did find an exception! The Chinese branch of Wilson, the sports company, just launched their spring & summer 2019 line-up on Tmall/Taobao, and it's loaded with My Little Pony stuff!
Included are tons of basketball designs, footballs (both American and soccer), socks and backpacks. Most feature known vectors of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle, as we commonly see, but one basketball features a refreshing "Power of Friendship" Cutie Mark Crew Twilight Sparkle.
What's sad to see, however, that even these licensed products feature fan art, which we doubt are agreed to by the artists.
The listings can be found on Tmall, but an account is required to see them all. Therefor we've included lots of pictures of all products below, enjoy!

If you browse through the list of ponies that have been included as freebie figures in the European magazines, there's one returning character that we're still missing: Sweetie Belle. Well, until now, because Egmont has finally released her as a magazine figure with this month's magazine. Do note that it took 5 years before the complete CMC was released, as Scootaloo originates from 2014!
Her design looks spot-on, with the added cutie mark, flowing tail and she even gets a glittery mane to make this release a extra special.
During this month she will start to appear in magazines in Europe (where magazine figures are released), but we don't have exact releases dates on new issues per country.
Thanks to Kira for the photos and Tomo for the heads-up!

For the past few days our inbox has been flooded with this news: Basic Fun has listed the third series of Stack'ems on their website!
This set contains all new characters with some of them making their first merch appearance. Almost the whole "Young Six" is included: Sandbar, Silverstream, Yona, Gallus and Smolder and at last Cozy Glow. So no Ocellus sadly. (or perhaps she's in disguise... *looks at Cozy Glow*) By looking at the image it's very likely that Silverstream is gonna be the chase figure as she's filled with glitter.

This week we were tagged on our Instagram page with a very interesting find: a Cutie Mark Crew Lily Valley figure from a series 4 blind packs! We didn't hear about these being found anywhere else yet, and it appears that this one came from Amazon. While we can't confirm it yet, it's possible that this blind pack originates from the listing that combined the title & description from series 4 with the photos of series 3.
The collection of series 4 blind packs includes both translucent and regular figures of ponies, seaponies and Equestria Girls in the confetti-filled packaging that was introduced in series 3. Included are:

A big surprise this week from Hasbro with the release of a new wave of blind bags! Last year we thought it was game over for the classic blind bag waves with the continuous release of Cutie Mark Crew figures, but this turns out the be just a pause.
This week an images was shared on Instagram showing two well-known blind bag ponies with new cards attached. As far as we can tell the ponies in this wave are all re-releases from earlier transparent lines, like Wave 14, 16 and 17, with one exception: Rainbow Smile. A trademarked name we couldn't find a reference to anywhere else, and judging by the name, color and pose it could be a new name for Rainbowshine.
All figures come with a fully transparent body, no painted mane/tail and no added glitter. Though, there seems to be some color variations from the earlier releases, and we spot usage of the new eye designs from later waves.
The figures were found in Mexico, and we didn't see them at the NY Toy Fair this year or last year. This raises the question whether the new wave (technically #25 if we exclude Best Gift Ever) is a worldwide release, or of this wave will only see specific countries. Still, if that latter is the case, they could still end up in discount stores like the budget EqG dolls.
