An interesting listing has been found on Toywiz for possible Power Ponies-themed Funko Mystery Minis figures. According to the listing a total of 12 figures will be included in each box. Perhaps we'll see some new characters or chase variants. Not much else is known but we'll keep you updated!

You can find the listing here.

  2. I'm surprised Funko is still doing pony stuff, seems like Hasbro is trying to distance themselves from Funko, what with now starting to release their own statue like stuff. And I mean it'd make sense too, if you're a toy company, why on Earth would you have another toy company make stuff off of your IP when you can just make it yourself and keep all the profit?

    1. I don't mind their continuing at all, and if they are then maybe that means we'll still be getting those Nightmare Moon and Chrysalis figures somewhere down the line. I can hope anyway.

    2. Hasbro never distanced themself from Funko, the reason for why Funko stopped doing MLP goods was because they were mostly done by order of Hot Topic and Hot Topic dumped MLP like a year ago. If there is no request for figures there is no point of manufacturing.

  4. So they'll make power pony versions of Applejack and Rarity but not the originals in mini form?..

I wonder what other characters they could use to fill up the box, unless it's going to be less than 12..

    1. They did make original minis of those two though. Both were in wave 2 of the mlp mystery mini sets. They also made larger vinyl figures of both of them as well. I have them all.

  5. I always thought the Power Ponies wud make AWESOME funko figures!! The g4 versions r the highlight of my collection but NO 1 does it quite like funko, funko IS the best;)
But i find it highly unlikely that funko wud b producing anymore NEW mlp vinyl, when they cudnt even b convinced to finish up the last mlp line they had in production!? Funko did an outstanding job at reproducing our fav mlp characters into collectable vinyl figures for an extremely affordable price. BUT, as the mlp funko line got more & more popular, so did the fan frenzied expectations:( Especially w the release of Princess Luna & Celestia! Even tho they both had obvious increase in size & more elaborate detail, funko gratiously did NOT increase the price of either figure, accordingly! But instead of showing our appreciation, 90% of the posts i read from mlp followers were complaints about their recent funko purchase!? It was the MOST requests for a return/exchange, EVER?? Even tho minor production flaws pretty much "comes w the territory", so to speak & none of these new flaws were ANY diff than the ones we all saw & came to expect in every other mlp funko figure, almost every preordered Princess Luna & Celestia resulted in a complaint & a demand for an exchange? Somewhere along the way we seemed to forget that these were still just vinyl-TOYS that-cost-under-$20/piece...UNDER $20! (seriously, the complaints i read wudve made u thought they were $200, it was crazy!) Anywho, funko was shocked & can ya blame them?! They werent hardly making ANY $ off these sales so they said 'screw it', shut down production, used what they had produced to make all you whiners happy & go away, & called it quits!
So when ur looking for a reason or someone to blame for why none of us will ever get a funko Nightmare Moon or Chrysalis to complete our collections, dont look too far, ur closest mirror shud do just fine :(
    Btw, thanks a lot!
